Modern Day Elf

I'm a modern day elf
been banished from the trees
exiled by my elders
for modern-primative beliefs
I know that I know it all
I'm quite possibly never wrong
I write down my experiences
then turn them into song

I'm a modern day elf
A tone-deaf bard aswell
two high for the city
four low for the trail
belligerent and untactful
I shoot from the hip
my Samuel Smith's is warm now
please let me pause for a sip

I'm a modern day elf
and Mental just the same
embrace the chaotic lifestyle
to me it's just a game
my mouth can conjure foulness
yet, speak not with forked tongue
all the while i still and wait
for my story to be sung
